Links include eligible rate, term or frequency assumptions only. Dollar amounts are never included. Recipients must enter their own amounts; the link will not reproduce your full financial scenario.
HOW IT WORKS
Calculation method
Receive fixed nominal income at the start of each month, then deduct expenses at month-end. Expenses increase monthly by the equivalent of the chosen effective annual inflation rate. Record first reserve-floor and zero-balance months.
KEEP IN MIND
Assumptions & limits
Example: 12,000 savings, 2,000 spending, 1,000 income and 0% inflation reaches a 2,000 reserve at month 10 and depletion at month 12.
No return on savings, taxes or automatic spending cuts. Reserve and income stay nominally fixed. Unfunded expenses are not shown as negative investment assets.
Basis: User-entered values.
Basis: Standard fixed-payment and time-value-of-money formulas.
Source/rule review year: Not applicable — general mathematical model.
